drink all day, play all night

this was a week ago..man does time go by fast when your busy having fun!!here are some pictures of abundant wildlife seen throughout florida on our trip from clearwater beach to miami to the ocean..

welcome to miami beach..where the drinks are triple times the normal price and the atmosphere is triple times fun..we spent the evening with friends on the strip before heading to an amazing oyster restaurant for dinner..or so im told.

the next morning we set off on a boat for spear fishing and snorkeling...

catching of a sea urchin..which signified the last of the boating fun..a bull shark decided to attack us, stupid shark..and we scrambled back on board and headed into shore...

...in time to miss the thunderstorm and eat our fresh catch!mm fish taco's!

nothing beats fresh seafood..my diet consisted of seafood and vegetables for the entire week in florida...landlocked in tulsa will be so much harder this semester now that iv tasted the good life!

here is a little more of our trip to florida..we fitted a lot in to our 8 days..and im still trying to catchup on sharing it all..and sunday fundays at the beach don't leave much time to blog :)

our last day in clearwater beach was a relaxing one..a little fishing..a little sea life..a little more frenchy's

clearwater marine aquarium takes injured animals in and cares for them until they can be released back into the wild..one of the permanent residents there is winter the dolphin who has lost her tail and is now fitted with a prosthetic one!

how much can you fit into 24hours?

the first day in clearwater beach was super relaxing, so on saturday it was due time to start doing some cool shit. i attempted my first run in the heat.terrible.i think i could have wrung sweat out of my crop top.gross.

 it was the day for fishing..we took a kayak out into the mangroves and i caught my first fish...literally...no need for bait...i snagged that thing right on its side..the real way to catch fish!we caught four little fishes but threw them all back..catching and eating our own fish was going to have to wait til we took the big boat out!

after a quick break and a little mini core workout we headed to St Petersburg for an art tour..

the Dali museum is full of art work from throughout Salvador Dali's long career..some of the pieces were amazing, others a tad strange and dark..but a really cool place to see a ton of art history!

then it was straight on up..its all about having friends in high places right!?as in friends who can fly us around up high in the sky in helicopters..yea that sounds perfect, thanks vince!

the day ended as it started..with a run in full on florida heat..then sushi, cold drinks and bed after a full on day of activities.

its clear to me: this was paradise

im just back from the greatest vacation..last thursday we flew to florida in an attempt to practice my sweating for when i return to tulsa.the trip was a huge success.i will blog per day as the days were each filled with so many amazing sights and experiences that they deserve a post of their own.

day 1: we arrived late thursday night into tampa before driving to clearwater beach..where words will never describe how beautiful it was..true paradise.

 well slept we awoke to beautiful sunshine..and decided a 2.5 hour walk along the beach in the heat was necessary..

 what was necessary was the swim to cool off..

then it was time to check out pj's favourite local bar/restaurant..frenchy's..surely the only place you can open four of the same restaurant all within a mile of each other and make them ALL successful..

after more adventures it was time to check out the 'original' frenchy's round the corner for a quick bevy.

we spent the evening dining at pj's mum's and catching up with friends of his..and of coarse, enjoying a few more drinks..we were on vacation right!?
